a real example

A Monday-morning portfolio review in five minutes.

Once you run a dozen guides, the question stops being "how is the tour doing" and becomes "which of these thirty things deserves my week". Insights is that review.

01

Scan the headline strip

Project-wide starts, completions, and average completion for the window. Down-and-to-the-right on the average is your early smoke alarm.

02

Sort the table

Every guide in one sortable table: started, completed, completion rate. Sort by completion ascending — the bottom three are this week's candidates for fixing or retiring.

03

Separate reach from content

High starts, low completion: a content problem — open that guide's funnel. Low starts: a reach problem — audience, trigger, or frequency. The split tells you which door to open.

04

Click through and fix

Each row links to the flow's full Reports. The portfolio view finds the patient; the per-guide funnel does the surgery.

What to expect: Guide review becomes a habit instead of an archaeology project. Teams that scan Insights weekly retire weak guides early — which is also what keeps rate limits from ever being the bottleneck.

honest limits

When not to use cross-flow insights.

No pattern fits every job. Here’s where we’d point you at something else — sometimes ours, sometimes not.

Deep diagnosis

Insights tells you which guide is sick, not why. The why lives in the per-flow funnel, click actions, and replays — drill in rather than squinting at the table.

Cross-guide A/B conclusions

Two different guides' completion rates are not an experiment — different audiences, moments, and jobs. To compare variants of the same idea, run an actual experiment on one guide.

Business reporting

The table measures guide health, not revenue attribution. For "did onboarding move retention", export events to your warehouse and join against your own metrics.

questions

Cross-flow Insights: common questions.

Still stuck? Read the docs or talk to us.

What does the Insights page show?

Project-wide starts, completions, and average completion for the selected window, plus a sortable per-guide table (started / completed / completion rate) that links into each flow's detailed Reports.

How should I read high starts with low completion?

The guide reaches people and loses them — a content problem. Open its step funnel and find the drop-off step; the fix is usually shortening, re-anchoring, or easing a form.

And a published guide showing zeros?

SDK not installed where the guide should fire, or targeting that never matches — the Install page's detection status settles the first in seconds.

How often is a review worth doing?

Weekly scan, monthly pruning. The scan catches breakage and fatigue early; the pruning keeps your guide population small enough that each one still gets attention — both take minutes, not meetings.

Can I change the time window of the overview?

Yes — Insights aggregates over your selected date range, so a launch-week review and a quarterly review are the same page with different windows. The per-guide table recalculates for the range, which is how you spot a guide that was great last quarter and is fading this one.
